Can I transfer my email?

If you own a domain name which you use for email, you can arrange to transfer this to BT. When you switch to BT we will give you an email address which can use if you do not own a domain name. If you use an email address from your current ISP, it may be worth setting up email forwarding. This explains how you can forward email from a BT account. Your current ISP probably offers a similar service.

Can I transfer my static IP address?

You can order a Static IP address when ordering BT Business Total Broadband. However, it is not possible to transfer a Static IP address from one ISP to another. If you order BT Business Total Broadband with a Static IP address, the address will be available as soon as the account is activated. You will receive details in your welcome letters and emails.

Can I transfer my domain name?

If you own a domain name you can easily transfer it to BT you can also purchase a new domain. We'll send your username and password for your account when we acknowledge your broadband order. You will be able to log in after 24 hours and add a domain.

MAC code help

A MAC code makes the switch from your provider to BT simple and quick with no disruption to your broadband service. Notes

  1. Available to existing DSL customers switching (via MAC code only) to Option 2, Option 3 or Network from another DSL provider only. 1 month's standard monthly rental will be credited to your bill after 90 days. Standard monthly rental charges apply. Conditions apply.
  2. One mobile broadband E170 USB Datastick per connection available to new and existing Option 3 with Inclusive Mobile Broadband customers who re-sign provided they are within the final 3 months of their current minimum term. 12 or 24 month minimum term contract on Option 3 (monthly price £45 or £30 a month). Unlike the BT Mobile Broadband standalone product, monthly usage limits apply: Data Usage Allowance - 1 GB; BT Openzone Minute Allowance - 2000 minutes. If exceeded charges apply: 10p per extra MB data usage; 10p per extra Wi-Fi minute (£40 per month cap applies). Unused allowances cannot be rolled over to the next month. BT's standard terms and conditions for the relevant service will apply. Broadband available in BT Openzone hotspots, internet use subject to mobile network coverage. Excludes international roaming.
